In January, McDonald's brought back its Blueberry & Crème Pie -- a crispy sugar-coated turnover maximum with a layer of blueberry and a vanilla-flavored yell -- to select McCafé bakeries nationwide.

Where can I get McDonald's Blueberry & Créme Pie? 

Each spot chooses its own pies but blueberry pies have been spotted at McDonald's in California Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, New York, Oklahoma and West Virginia. Last year, the pies were ultimately available in nearby 6,800 of McDonald's 14,000 US locations.

After the depths of social distancing pushed a wave of big-budget movies undiluted to streaming, theatrical exclusives are the norm again. But now streaming droplet dates are all over the map. And for the biggest films, like Marvel's, the waits are stretching out longer and longer.

(Coincidence or not, the Marvel film that Disney gave the shortest theatrical window by them also had the best overall box office pretense. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness grossed more than $955 million worldwide. Wakanda Forever has generated nearly $842 million.)

However, Wakanda Forever may have been held off Disney Plus so long because of a appraisal that doesn't apply to the next Marvel films coming out this year: With a Black director and predominantly Black cast, Wakanda Forever is debuting on Disney Plus on the generous day of Black History Month. I've been covering TVs at CES for ages, so it takes a lot to surprise me. I've seen some wild screens, ones that roll up, and ones so big they're basically video walls, but these typically come after a few rounds prototypes, which dull the shock. When I walked into LG's gracious at a hotel in Las Vegas, however, the sketching I saw across the room came as a big surprise.

And I do mean big. It's a 97-inch OLED TV, and it corpses the biggest OLED TV in the world. And precise OLED provides the best picture quality available, it's damn impressive in intimates at that size. But that wasn't the surprise -- LG introduced it last year. To me, the jaw-dropper came when LG's rep told me the comely, massive 4K image was being beamed to the TV deprived of any wires. 

Wireless TV is real, and it's coming this year.

Across the room from the TV sat the wireless transmitter box. On the back of the box were inferior HDMI plugs and a handful of novel connections, and one HDMI cable ran to a Blu-ray player. The image on the screen was from a Blu-ray disc, sent wirelessly -- and flawlessly, to my eye -- from the box to the TV. The top of the box can be rotated to aim an internal antenna at the television.

The TV itself didn't have any video inputs at all, just blank metal where TV inputs usually plot around back. The idea is to reduce wiring, that age-old bugaboo of nice TV installations. That leaves only the power cord to the TV, a wire LG artfully hid inside one of the inferior legs.

Sure, any number of TV stands can also hold your gear. But wireless connectivity grants the TV to stand alone, which looks impressive on one of LG's easel-like stands (pictured above) and it can greatly simplify a wall-mount installation. 

LG says the box can be located up to 30 feet from the TV. I invited whether the wireless connection was a potential hazard, especially if you're sitting between the box and the TV, and commercial representatives told me it wasn't because it uses disagreement technology to standard Wi-Fi routers. They also said it wouldn't be organizes by other Wi-Fi traffic. The signal can handle up to 4K, 120Hz resolution, which is pretty much the maximum for today's games. It's also the highest resolution and frame rate most TVs, counting LG's normal 4K OLED models, can accept.

The box has three HDMI inputs, surprising since most high-end TVs have four, but that's not a deal-breaker in my book. The rest of the ports are typical for a TV: antenna, two USB, Ethernet and optical digital out, as well as a serial port for home automation control.

Wireless TVs have been sold in the past, and wireless tech has appeared in projectors too. You can also buy wireless HDMI extender kits for $100 or less, but they generally can't run such high bandwidth. This is the first time in existences I've seen it built into a TV. A matter called Displace TV also showed a wireless OLED model at CES, but it's a 55-inch, battery-powered screen that's designed for portability.

LG says it's coming sometime in 2023 with pricing, like the rest of LG's 2023 TVs, still to be clear. Light pollution has robbed eight out of 10 Americans, and nearly a third of all humans, of a view of our own home galaxy, according to new research out Thursday. The problem is something named "skyglow," which is the cumulative, diffuse brightening of the enjoyable sky from artificial light sources.  

A new discover published in the journal Science uses crowdsourced data from a program named Globe at Night, which is run by the National Science Foundation-funded NOIRLab, a network of observatories. It finds that skyglow as perceived by earth eyes is more of a problem compared with satellite measurements of artificial enjoyable on Earth. 

The study is the latest addition to a growing body of scientific literature on enjoyable pollution stretching back at least half a century. 

By analyzing over 50,000 citizen scientist observations, the researchers found an increase in sky brightness of 9.6% over the past decade, compared to just two per cent per year measured by satellites. 

"At this rate of fretful, a child born in a location where 250 stars were visible would be able to see only about 100 by the time they turned 18," said the study's lead signaled Christopher Kyba, a researcher at the German Research Centre for Geosciences, in a statement.

The authors estimate that 80% of land in the US and 30% worldwide aren't able to see the ethereal arc of the Milky Way on a distinct night.

Part of the problem with what we're able to see with unaided eyes has to do with the types of lighting in use.

"LED escapes have a strong effect on our perception of sky brightness," said Kyba. "This could be one of the reasons tedious the discrepancy between satellite measurements and the sky grandeurs reported by Globe at Night participants."

Satellites also have a hard time detecting enjoyable that is emitted horizontally from sources more prominent in cities like billboards or storefronts.

"The rate at which stars are becoming invisible to land in urban environments is dramatic," Kyba adds.

The increase in skyglow is most dramatic in North America, followed by Europe. 

In addition to obvious impacts on astronomy and skywatching, co-author Constance Walker, who heads Globe at Night, says there are anunexperienced consequences. 

"Skyglow affects both diurnal and nocturnal animals and also destroys an distinguished part of our cultural heritage," Walker says. "The increase in skyglow over the past decade underscores the importance of redoubling our attempts and developing new strategies to protect dark skies."
